Re: FMFA Cup - Round 1 Reports
Wolves 1-3 Brentford.
I am really proud of my players, despite the 3-1 loss as they worked hard all game and created a lot of chances. The Brentford goalkeeper however had a fantastic game and it was tough to beat him. On another day we could have got at least a draw however Maffy the Brentford player was clinical and managed a fantastic hatrick. We need to now concentrate on the league and other cups we are still in, staying in the league is our main priority so tomorrow our focus returns to that goal.

Re: FMFA Cup - Round 1 Reports
Leicester 1-2 Solihull Moors.
What a fantastic result for the players, they deserved the win as they faught hard despite Leicester constantly threatening. It would have been better to do it in normal time as it means we may have to play a slightly weaker team for the league match due to fitness however we'll assess the players later today before submitting our lineup tomorrow for the league. The players however can look forward to being in the draw for the next round of the cup, I would have been happy just to lose by a low score line however to pull off such a shock result is something I could not be prouder of my players for.

Manchester United 2 - 0 Bromsgrove Sporting AET
Sent Off: G_Boloca (59)
Patson_Daka (109,114 pen)
very poor performance we made hard work of this game waiting until extra time to win the game with both goals coming from daka and it didnt help with boloca getting himself sent off much improvement needed

Re: FMFA Cup - Round 1 Reports
West Ham United suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the FMFA Cup on Thursday night, as two clinical goals made the difference in a match where West Ham never really imposed themselves. Bournemouth started brighter and were rewarded early, as Viktor Gyokeres gave them a 15th minute lead after capitalising on a defensive lapse. West Ham struggled for rhythm in midfield with Mount, Foden and Robsie unable to create sustained pressure. Bournemouth controlled possession, moved the ball with confidence and constantly threatened. After the break they doubled their advantage when James Maddison finished superbly in the 57th minute. West Ham improved slightly after substitutions, with Zirkzee threatening late and Robsie striking the woodwork, but Treichel produced key saves when needed. Man of the Match Calafiori was outstanding, while Bournemouth progress fully deserving their place in the next round.

Re: FMFA Cup - Round 1 Reports
Sunderland 1 - 2 Derby County
Just a wildly disappointing result for us and there's a few things going on here that I want to address.
First of all - we have had blokes sent off for sneezing wrong but today Derby were given free reign to batter us all game. 17 fouls and just one booking whilst we play a normal game and get three slices of cheese. A physical game is fine but they'd been doing it all game ref, how many times?!
Next - they got two goals out of two shots on target with just 39 percent of the ball. I am left feeling like we beat ourselves here rather than that they were particularly good except for one more key moment than us. I don't want to be unkind but if we ran that back 99 more times we progress to the next round without a doubt.
Finally - I feel we just made too many critical mistakes in a big game. If this were a Division One fixture against Derby, it's the sort of six pointer we'd need to win to avoid relegation and we failed the test.
Really wanted a bit of a cup run though.
