Derby County U23 - Sunderland U23

Bit of a grudge match here. I can't remember if it was the Derby seniors or their U23s that knocked us out of a cup last season and I remember being grumpy about losing to a reactive grindy back 5 setup which then seemed like what everyone played against us for a while. We'll keep backing in Wilson to open his account and he'll have a great opportunity here to do just that.

Aston Villa U23 - Wolverhampton U23

Our next game is against Aston Villa. This is a match against the top two from last season so should be an interesting game. Both sides are good and building really well so this won't be an easy game. Our new signings have started very well so far and fitted in well so I am confident that we can achieve a result. If we can get a decent result we can continue our decent start to the league season. I am very pleased with the commitment the players have shown so far.
