Aston Villa U23s would like to appeal against the length of the ban imposed on U23 star Tim Iroegbunam. The youngster has been handed a 5 match ban as his record shows 21 disciplinary points so far this season. However, that seems to be too high.
In all competitions, the player has picked up 2 yellow cards and then last night picked up his 3rd red card of the season. with 1 DP for a yellow and 4 for a red (which is evident from other players' records) he should therefore be on 14 DPs rather than 21 and should be facing a 3 match ban - not 5.
The Villa board are under no illusions that the dirty bastard needs a ban and he has been warned about his future conduct. However, we think in this instance the punishment is down to an administrative error in the processing of one of the cards more than once onto his record.
Hopefully the FMFA board of @Darlington and @Daniel will consider this appeal and consider an appropriate reduction.
