Aston Villa U23s vs Everton U23s
The first really big game for us this season as we take on an Everton side one position and one point above us in the table. After the farce at Tottenham at the weekend we can't afford to lose this one as we're losing touch with Liverpool already and presumably have them to come next game after this.

Everton are a good U23 side and the battle between the 2 of us and Liverpool is always a good one. They finished above us in taking the title last season so we're out looking to get one over on them and an early boost for us this time around. Last season we drew twice 0-0 at home in the league and the cup QF with a 1-0 defeat in the league and a 1-0 cup win in the other meetings. So really nothing between us.

To add to it, i've just signed Yilmaz and Romero off them with Moretti going the other way so some of these players will be playing against future employers. Interesting to see how they do - if selected.

Both sides are at full strength with minimal fitness issues so should be a good game. Hopefully home advantage can pay off for us.
