Tottenham Hotspur U23s 1-0 Aston Villa U23s
I am absolutely furious with this result. This is the the sort of freak game you can do nothing about but so frustrating.

Our side is infinitely better in all areas so nothing more we can do there. We had tactical advantage. Their home benefit was the only thing going for them.

We had 75% possession and created 32 chances getting more than half of them on target. We had a 19 and an 18 rated FW against a 20r GK and a defence that contained 2x13r and a 14r. This could - and should - have been 3 or 4 nil to us. But somehow their GK made 17 saves gaining 172 abs and we lost 1-0. I'd have been cross with 0-0 - defeat is ridiculous.

We hold on to the top 3 but now 6 points behind Liverpool. It's a long league season but this is the second freak loss and I can't help but feel it's slipping away already. We have to make sure we go on a run now with minimal room for any more slip ups.

My goal for the season is to batter Spurs in the remaining encounters. Petty - yes - but this one has got me angry.
