Stoke City News
Today sees the unveiling of three new midfielders that have signed for the Potters and the departure of three of the existing squad.
Exciting 21 year old English attacking midfielder Jadon Sancho and 19 year old Welsh defensive midfielder Ethan Ampadu join the Potters from Chelsea in a deal that takes Bruno Fernandes in the opposite direction. It is felt that both Sancho and Ampadu will be a good fit in the Potters squad and that Fernandes can realise his ambition of playing the top flight sooner rather than later. In addition, the Potters are pleased to announce the signing of 19 year old attacking midfielder Omari Forson from Southampton after a £40m fee was agreed between the two clubs.
The influx of these players has meant the exit for Kai Havertz from the senior squad and newly promoted defender Hill from the U23’s has also left the club. Both players have been praised for their contributions, with Hill in particular playing a key role in the defensive strength of the U23 side this season.
Stoke City would like to take the opportunity of thanking the management at both Chelsea and Southampton.
