Wolves 1-2 Bournemouth.

We were really unlucky to lose this one, overall we played some good football however did not take enough of our chances. Rennolds scored our only goal which is good as he's helping us get the rating bonus for playing a lower rated player over 60 minutes and he's contrebuting so justifying his inclusion. Really proud of all my players for the way they've started the season. This was a very competitive game between two good sides however Bournemouth took one more chance than us so deserved the result. Hopefully in time more of our chances will turn into goals. Our midfield looked very good in the new system so that's one thing we can take that was positive.

A disappointing result away from home but it is always going to be a challenge when you play with 10 men for over 80 minutes. In fairness we managed to hold our own in the game but the extra man counted for them and they took the three points as deserved.

We only lost four games all season last year and just three in the league so this is not the start we wanted but we're always going to be a bit closer this time as the squad isn't quite as good. Nevertheless we expect to win more than we lose and i'm hoping this is just a blip caused by the red card. We dust ourselves off and go again in the week

Wolverhampton U23 1 - 2 Bournemouth U23

Without the main keeper due to injury and against the tactical and home advantages we somehow managed to perform a strong win that secured all 3 points on the road against a top manager and side. Its very early days and i havent yet got the youths firing correctly so this is an important one to get on the board. Bad news is we lost captain Gidaree for 4 weeks which will leave us thin in defense over the next few games
