Coventry City U23 2–2 West Ham United U23

Coventry City and West Ham United shared the spoils in a lively 2–2 draw. The Hammers struck early when Kane Wooster capitalised on a goalkeeper error, before a freak Kieran Yearn own goal doubled their lead. Coventry hit back through Vontae George, who smashed in a reply before half-time and then levelled again with a sharp finish just after the break. Both sides pushed for a winner in an end-to-end second half, but keepers Luke Bell and Finn Herrick stood firm. George took Man of the Match honours after an inspired display leading the comeback.

Manchester City U23 0 - 2 Sunderland U23

Proper chuffed with this result. The lads knew what they had to do and how to go about it to blunt Manchester City and keep them off the ball as we identified when they don't have the ball they tend to struggle to impact games. An own goal is unfortunate for them but proves our pressure was good and forced the mistakes. Moore was industrious without getting a goal but Whittaker was able to put away the rebound off Moore's shot and that's what made it 2-0.

Once in command of the game we set out not to lose that and chose to sit deep and compact and dare them to play through us which we thought they'd also struggle with and that was the case. Sunderland U23's are now four points clear at the top with very few goals conceded and we plan to keep on keeping on!

Coventry City U23 2 - 2 West Ham United U23

The Sky Blues went two down after just seventeen minutes after an early spill into the net from L_Bell and an own goal from K_Yearn. But never fear because V_George is here, and got himself a brace - one either side of half time - to drag Coventry back into a point from this game. Arguably the better side with more of the ball and better penetration and verticality, they were thwarted by a concerted defensive effort by West Ham's back four who should feel justified at picking up this point on the road.

That's two points from two games which in total had ten goals in them, wouldn't have minded handing Will back at least one win whilst he was away but wasn't to be!

despite having 2 players sent off we still managed to sneak a 1 0 win through a pen with 6 minutes to go through sharpe but a lot of work to do for my youth team
