Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Sunderland

Got the job done against these Eagles who were looking to soar against us as it's essentially a win and in for them. Spiteful match with 21 fouls and lots of bookings in the first half so the red card for someone was unsurprising. Just wish it wasn't us but both sides had moments of holding their breath and hoping not to lose a player.

We got Savinho more involved in our forward moves which is pleasing and happy how Mahon dropped back to chop out what ended up being a stretched back three.

We went unbeaten in this group and we have every right to be proud of that. Now we switch gears and step up to single elimination rounds, exciting to have a cup run!

Nottingham Forest fell 2–1 to West Ham United in a lively FMFA League Cup clash at the City Ground. Forest struck early through Chris Wood’s third-minute penalty, but the visitors dominated possession and momentum throughout. Mohammed Kudus proved the difference, first equalising with a superb finish after a bizarre pause for a pitch-invading cat, then putting West Ham ahead on 27 minutes after his shot was ruled to have crossed the line. Despite late pressure from substitutes Awoniyi and Anderson, Forest couldn’t break through a resolute West Ham defence. Kudus earned Man of the Match as West Ham advanced with a confident, controlled display.

Manchester united 4-0 Wolves.

We were beaten by the better team easily in this one, united were clinical and despite our good start to the game we could not take one of our early chances. After making a really good start and creating a few chances United took control and were clinical. The players know this was not good enough and that they'll need to improve in the next league game. Max Weiss especially was annoyed with his performance as he's been growing in confidence in the last few games. Anthony Patterson has been training hard and may be in the runnning for the next game to take Weiss out of the spot light a bit.
