Sunderland - Liverpool
First match in the new Super League, staunch opposition but good to welcome in the season with a home fixture. League has had a name change in the off season which makes it feel shiny and sparkly. Looking forward to getting out there and playing some football, I don't have too much to say about our opponents being new to the division so we will just aim to put our best foot forward and continue in the same vein we finished the division two season in.

Fulham - Wolverhampton
Our first match of the new season in the new super league, the league has had a name change in the close season giving it a more high quality feel. After staying up well last seson we now start the new season a fresh and with confidence after qualifying for the world club cup. Our first game is against Fullham, they are a side we have had some good results against last season especially at under 23s level. Striker Mathys Tel our top scorer from last season has already made a promising start having scored 3 goals in the world club cup qualifiers and our other two strikers have also managed goals. After his great performance in the second leg of the world club cup second leg having performed better Anthony Patterson will start the season as number 1 goalkeeper however Max Weiss will get game time in the league and will be the cup keeper for now however as we do see him as the long term number 1 we're hopeful that fazing him in slowly this season will enable him to achieve his potential and start with Anthonies experience. Our defense and midfield have not really changed apart from new signing Piero Hencapie coming into the back 4. Dan Ballard is our captain this season and again we're hoping his experience will help the team as we're hopeful he can provide good leadership.

Black Cats v Reds
A trip up to the north-east isn't something you want for the opening day and never easy playing up there. To make things even worse, facing a newly promoted team is always a new challenge and you don't know what to expect. We've done few changes to our roster in front of the new season but there's three new faces. Alessandro Bastoni, Alec Georgen and Alexis Mac Allister is the three new players but only Bastoni and Mac Allister is treated as first tema players. Both these two players will make their debut while Alec Georgen is left at home when we travel. Getting off to a good start is the way we want but I'm sure our opponents want the same.

Arsenal - Brighton
Lets be having ya then, Bournemouth and Villa in the last 2 seasons have won the titles in what was a very competitive race. I'm shocked to even have been competiting in all fairness and with that being said this will be the season i actually fully commit then we will end up being relegated! Lets go all out with our new squad and look to challenge for the title again in what will be a hard season!

Manchester United vs Aston Villa
We were humiliated in the season curtain raiser and have had a week to lick our wounds as we prepare for the league opener. It's not been a good week as we begin to doubt all the good groundwork we had laid last season. Fortunately as double winners of the league and World Club Cup hopefully we can retain some confidence, mark that result as a one off and assume we don't become a bad team overnight!!!
We welcome Man Utd back to the top flight after their year away. They come back with a new manager from their relegation season and still a very talented squad. Will not be an easy one for us to kick off our title defence. We edge it in all areas except midfield for me but its tight and this one really could go either way. Neil has shown in the past the talent he has as a manager - especially if the confidence is flowing so we need to make sure it doesn't!
Both teams have had pre season games so we're already managing fitness but it's great to be back and having these issues. Hopefully we can get 3 points to put last week behind us and kick off the new campaign with a bang.
Last season we became only the second side to finish in the top three for five consecutive seasons. Nobody has done six....

Been a very quite off season for the seniors only one signing with a player that doesnt really fit the bill but we shall see how it works out and hopefully see if we can compete with the teams that have had a much better transfer window,
City will be a tough away ask looking at there roster its full of talent we just need to hope we can make the most of a slightly weaker defense but wont be easy task

Everton v Brentford
First game of a new season and we are fortunate to get a home start.
We will face Brentford who are currently unmanaged but not to be underestimated.
Team wise they look to have a better defence slightly but the forward line and midfield we should be better.
