Whites U23 2 - 0 Eagles U23
Much like the first team, things didn't click for the youngsters on opening day and two goals from Tom Costello in the first half was enough to sent us home without a result. The home side was dominant and the score should have been a lot bigger. Blondy Noukeu made a massive fourteen saves and even though he conceeded twice he earned himself 82 KAbs.

West Ham United U23 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur U23
"The youths start there campaign with a win against there London rivals"
West Ham United U23 edged a lively contest against Tottenham Hotspur U23 in the YDL Division Two clash. Despite heavy early pressure, goalkeeper Herrick kept West Ham level with a string of excellent saves. The breakthrough came on 18 minutes as Moor cleverly caught the keeper off his line. Tottenham responded strongly and deservedly equalised through Boast after the break. However, Moor struck again moments later with a controversial effort that just crossed the line. Spurs pushed hard, but West Ham’s defence held firm to secure a hard-fought victory helped along with Spurs having a man sent off earlier on.

Leicester City U23 1 - 4 West Bromwich U23
A good start to the campaign, aided by Leicester going a man down early in the second half, though it took until the 88 minute mark to put the game away.
