Fullham 1-0 Wolves.

While we did play some decent football, not enough chances wer created. Fullham shown good ball management and restricted us to very few chances. While we did create and shown good determination unfortunately it was not enough tonight. Thankfully it is only the 1st game and there is still a long way to go. We need to forget this now, take the positives from the match and move onto the next match. The players know they'll have better games than this so they need to pick themselves up and do the best they can going forwad.

Black Cats 0 - 2 Reds

It was a good way away to Sunderland but it did cost us. After half an hour played our captain Alejandro Garnacho was injured and will most likely miss our next game as well. It saw Sverre Nypan being played as a forward and there's where we got our biggest weakness this year. We only got two forwards to choose from and it looks like we won't have any of them in our next game. William Saliba opened the score before Hugo Ekitike doubled our lead in the last ten minutes. A couple of minutes later he was sent off. Both Garnacho and Ekitike out when we face Arsenal in our next league game, our first home game of the season. Pleased to get the win but not the start we've wanted when it comes to injuries and suspensions.

Sunderland 0 - 2 Liverpool

Liverpool paid us a lot of respect for a promoted team, I didn't expect them to try to get an extra player back and try to get maximum joy out of their wingbacks. Cagey game in the end, once both sides opened it up they were able to take quick advantage. The second goal felt frustrating to give up, I reckon we could have been good for a point here on a different day. Slade''s senior debut wasn't one he gets to celebrate a win in but we will dust ourselves off and try again this Saturday.
