Liverpool 2-0 Wolves.
As soon as our equalising goal got ruled out I knew it was un lightly to be our day. The liverpool goalkeeper played out of his skin as did our goalkeeper rice making his first appearance under the new coaching team and he made a very good contrebution despite letting two goals in he made some brillient saves. We tried hard and worked well as a team however the result was just not with us today and hopefully we can improve in furtehr matches.

Brighton U23 0 - 0 Sunderland U23
Truly very little to write about in this one. We created one chance all game and missed the target. Player sent off after 12 minutes also. Move on.
Coventry City U23 0 - 0 Crystal Palace U23
Same result but much better game. Both sides had 8 chances each, with the majority of them on target. Unfortunately the keepers ruled the roost and both kept clean sheets. As far as 0-0 draws go, this wasn't a bad one. The concerning factor is just how far behind we are to a team like Palace in terms of quality!

West Ham United U23 0 - 0 Chelsea U23
West Ham United U23 were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Chelsea U23 despite dominating proceedings at Victoria Road. The hosts controlled possession and created the better chances, with M_Halim and N_C-Philips both going close on multiple occasions. However, Chelsea goalkeeper Tony Bell produced a series of fine saves to keep his side level. West Ham struck the woodwork and missed several clear openings, while Chelsea offered little going forward. J_Clark led a resilient defensive display for the visitors, earning Man of the Match. Ultimately, West Ham will rue missed chances in a game they should have comfortably won. Onto the second leg.

Terrible performance, well off our usual pace. We'd be better if we just kept it on the deck and play like we normally do, instead of trying to get all tricky with it against a team we're clearly better than anyway.
