It has been decided that from next season we will be introducing a bonus for playing an 18 rater in your U23 team. The reason for this is two fold, firstly a lot of teams are utilising all the higher rated players and these lower rated ones are not getting played and secondly to give teams the chance to help improve these lower rated players in their team as they will get abs from playing and the ab bonus as well for the manager come the end of the season. There will be no mandatory rule on this it will be down to YOU the manager to decide if you want to develop your players but the proposal we have gone with is this. Play at least one 18 rated player in your starting eleven for 60 mins or more in a league game and it will earn the U23 team a 50 ab bonus. There will be 22 league games next season so do it in all 22 games and that is a bonus of 1100 abs. At the season end the 18 rater bonus abs you have earned can then be placed on your 18 rated players which means you could level a player up to a 19 rater on the back of this. We have yet to fully decide if your bonus abs have to go on one player or can be spread across your 18 raters. It has also been decided to help in case some teams don't have 18 raters or any in a certain position (GK/DF/DM/MF/AM/FW) that we will have a draft in the pre-season of 18 rated players. The draft will go in reverse order of finishing position, so bottom division one first to top of premiership last.

With only two league games left of the league campaign and the cups reaching the finals, let's see who is left fighting for titles Premier Divison: The title will be either going to Liverpool or Manchester. Manchester United has lifted the title three times but they haven't won the league since season 4. Liverpool on the other hand has been very successful the last seven season and they've won the league four times. It's joint with their rivals Everton. Liverpool find themselves four points clear with two games left of the season and it's their to lose. Can Manchester United do the impossible and rob Liverpool in the last two games? Division One: Six teams still got the chance to win the title but I'm afraid Watford is too far behind with only two games left. Burnley is in the best position, three points clear at the top. Last time Neil was promoted they did it through playoffs but Neil got every chance of winning his first league title. Stoke City find themselves three points behind Burnley and two wins in the last two games could see them running off with the title. Also West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers could end up as league winners but they need help from other teams to achieve. All three teams find themselves four points behind Burnley and the teams need a little miracle to clinch the title. FMFA Cup: We're at the semi finals in the FMFA Cup and both Merseyside teams has the pleasue of playing at home in the semi finals. Liverpool will take on Newcastle United while Everton will entertain Manchester City. All four teams got a good chance of making the final but Liverpool and Everton has to be favorites since their playing at home. But there has been bigger upset here at FMFA and I don't think both Merseyside teams will find themselves in the final. Let's wait and see how the semi finals ends. FMFA League Cup: Aston Villa and Leicester City will face each other in the final after both managed to win their semi finals. Aston Villa knocked out Tottenham Hotspur after winning their home game 1-0 and playing scoreless away from home. Also Leicester City was up against a London club and they booked their place in the final after beating Arsenal 2-0 over two legs. They won the first leg 2-0 at home and managed to get a scoreless result at Emirates Stadium. I still see Aston Villa as favorites and believe Alex will take the FMFA League Cup Trophy. Anglo-American Trophy: The two Merseyside clubs will face each other in a very open final after winning their semi finals. Everton had a very tough opponent in Manchester United but managed to knock them out and is rewarded with a final. Liverpool faced Argentinian side Racing Club, managed by Alex, and it was a much closer affair than people would have though. The first leg ended 1-1 before Liverpool managed to take a narrow win at Anfield. They won the game 2-1 and is now facing the neighbours in the final. Impossible to predict but Liverpool is looking to get back to back titles. U23 Premier Division: It's a two horse race between Liverpool U23 and Everton U23 in the Premier Division. Everton U23 is the most successfull U23 team, winning the Premier Division title twice while Liverpool U23 has never won the league. They find themselves five points clear with two games left and should be the team who lift the title come end of the season. U23 Division One: Also in U23 Division One there's a race between two teams. Watford U23 has put them in a great position and is five points clear with two games left. Leicester City U23 still got a chance of Watford U23 lose both their last two games but it's a very difficult position to be in. Watford U23 has been the best team in U23 Division One this season and they will end up with the title. U23 Cup: Four teams still got the chance to win the trophy. The first leg is already played and both games ended scoreless. Everton U23 is playing Newcastle United U23 at home while West Ham United U23 is hosting Southampton U23. None of the teams have won the U23 Cup before and I can't see who is winning it. It's very open but I predict the winner between Everton U23 vs Newcastle United U23 will go on to win the final

MANAGER UNVEILED TO THE MEDIA New Chelsea manager Gary Goodson has been unveiled at their club press conference this afternoon after making the switch from London rivals Crystal Palace on Thursday. Coming somewhat out of the blue, Chelsea acted quickly after sacking previous manager Pip Aldridge at the weekend after some woeful performances this season, and identified Goodson as their number one target. When asked how it felt to be announced as the new Chelsea manager, Goodson replied “I am absolutely delighted to be here and to be given this chance at such a prestigious club. It came out of the blue as I was happy at Palace but when the opportunity to come to one of the biggest clubs in the country is put in front of you, then it was one I could not turn down”. The appointment has been met with some scepticism from Chelsea supporters who have expressed their reservations over his suitability for the role considering Goodson has not managed a so-called big club. When put to him, he replied “I understand that and it is my job to convince those doubters that I am the right man for the job. I can assure all our fans that I will be doing everything in my power to bring success to this club. I want to provide a team that they are proud of and one they enjoy coming to see week in week out”. This has given the impression that Goodson will adopt a more adventurous style of play, compared to the solid and steady style he brought to Crystal Palace. When pushed on the matter, he replied “You have to look at the players you have got and play to their strengths. If we had played open and expansive football at Palace, we would have been played off the park most weeks. That’s no disrespect to the players at Palace as they were a great bunch of lads and a joy to work with but they have different strengths and weaknesses to the squad I have inherited here. You have to show you can adapt and that is what I am hoping to prove here”. When asked if he planned on making wholesale changes to the squad, Goodson said “I think in my time at Palace, you could see that is not my style. I like to give every player a chance, assess their strengths and weaknesses and then go from there. Between now and the end of the season it gives me some time to do this, then come the end of the season, I will be in a better place to make a judgement. However make no mistake about it, we have some fantastic players here and overall the squad is very strong so I do not anticipate making wholesale changes”. The move has prompted certain sections of the Crystal Palace support, to blast their former manager for leaving at such short notice, and to a London rival. Goodson did not duck the question and said “I understand some of the fans will be disappointed and they are entitled to their opinion. What I will say is that I feel I have left them in a better position than when I first took over. 2 seasons ago, they couldn’t have imagined playing in the Premier League, let alone the Anglo American Trophy but we did that together this season. I think the majority of fans will appreciate my efforts and I wish them well, but my sole focus is now on Chelsea Football Club going forwards”. Goodson’s first game in charge sees him at home to Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening and it will be interesting to see how he sets up his side for that game.

Ok I have thought about this for a while and notice that nearly all have put any U23's that are 23 or below rated into youth teams and they are not getting a shot or chance in many senior teams. So I have pinched an idea from another site to give managers the option to play them in the seniors and make it perhaps worthwhile in the long run. Firstly it will not be mandatory it is entirely up to the manager how he develops his youth or even if he wants to. If any player who would qualify for U23's (so U23 and 23and under rated) is played in the senior team then the minutes they play in the season in the senior team you will get as ability points to give to that player across their abs. Just to put this in perspective, there are 22 league games this season which is 90mins x 22 a player plays them all which is 1980 mins so a possible 1980 abs available in the league, never mind cup games. The player though has to be in the senior team, if he is demoted to U23 then those minutes earned will not become abs as they are now a youth player. That is the choice you have if you want to demote, which is lose potential abs. However if you promote a player up to seniors then minutes earned above what they had when promoted will be turned to abs. So a player has 180 mins in youth and you promote and he goes on to play in seniors and has 880 mins at season end then they will have 700 abs. The moment they leave the seniors to join the youths they lose those potential abs. The choice then is yours where to play your upcoming or potential youth stars. Risk one or more in the senior team and get the bonus for doing it or not? This will come in from next season, Season 14.

Chelsea v Crystal Palace First up is a London derby against newly promoted Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will be looking to hit the ground running, just as we looked to last season after being promoted to the Premier League. First days of the season are always a little bit a tale of the 'unexpected' but we will be looking for a positive result to get our season off on the right foot.

When Everton Manager, David Gooch, was told of the comments by Spurs boss Mason that he was past it and his side mediocre he just didn't stop laughing. In fact it was a good while before he could stop and commented "he had never heard anything so funny in his life". Once he had settled himself he said "I don't need to comment on mediocre when my record of 4 titles in the last eight seasons speaks for itself. Perhaps we could count the number of title Mr Mason has won and compare but maybe that would be a bit embarrassing for him." He went on further to say "Mr Mason wants to concentrate on his own job as he in my opinion should have been sacked by Tottenham after the dismal performance he made the fans endure last season. He took over a Premiership team that was relegated and had a terrific squad and a team that should have walked that division and come straight back up. He didn't even get in the top half or win more games than he lost. He has dragged a once great team even further down and Spurs should cut their losses with him while they can." Mason is clearly smarting after Gooch had said Spurs were lucky to beat his ten man side in the friendly tournament, the Jet Cup. As he left Gooch could be heard saying "mediocre hahaha, I'll give you mediocre it is Tottenham under Mason they couldn't win Division One under him if they were the only team in it."

Dear All, We have had a problem with the rosters that has caused both double spacing on the youth rosters and the transfer files when doing transfers to corrupt. I have spent this morning with @Daniel trying to sort and between us we think we have figured out what may have caused it all. We have had to revert back to the rosters straight after the end of season re-rates etc. which is before all this seasons transfers and 5k youth bonus allocation. That means I now will have to start again and re-do all the transfers and youth bonus, which is not a 2 minute job. I am going to have to fit it over this week etc. and test all ok as we go. To that end please realise you schedule will not be right yet so bear with me. It also means that I will not do anymore transfers until I am back to where we should be with the transfers completed for this season re-done. Please accept our apologies for this and the delay it causes. I am working on it and I am hoping all goes ok and it resolves the problem we had. regards, David & Daniel

Right I have now started and added the 5k bonus awards and secondary bonuses for those on there. All are done upto Chelsea and all look ok on the rosters showing on site now. There are just 3 teams with no bonus stated yet and they are Watford, Arsenal and Man City also Man Utd have their secondaries to award. I will start on transfers as soon as I can.

Thank you very much for the welcome. I am looking forward to managing such a good squad and the under 23s addition to this game excites me also. I love developing young players. I am really excited to start my time in charge and a fanzine will start with all things saints once I re aclimatize to the sight etc.

Neil you are far to hard on yourself. 1) You only came up last season into a strong league. 2) Man Utd are one of the strong sides in it and it showed in your match where they as expected had more shots and 4 on target to your one. Your keeper played well to stop them scoring. 3) You have one of the best U22 teams which showed in your winning the league. Plenty for the future in there mate. You may be upset now but I personally always remember Winston Churchill when things don't go right and he said...."Success is not final, Failure is not Fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts"

Finally then the strikers...... Diego Costa was top choice here as two teams went for him. Unfortunately Sheffield United's £40.5m bid was not enough. That meant with a winning bid of £50m he will be at the Emirates this season in an Arsenal shirt. @Jason Fortune The other striker attracting attention was K_Benzema. Only a second choice as the Blades moved for another striker having missed out on their first choice. The same amount bid of £40.5m will see him play for Sheffield United in Season 14. @Ruggy

We have decided that we will be expanding to 24 teams from next season. This is because we are pretty full with managers and it helps with the cups. Coming into the league (division one) will be Brighton, Norwich, Sheffield United and Derby County. It means that this season there will be no relegation from the premiership. Two teams will then get promoted as usual taking top division to twelve and the four new teams will add to division one's remaining eight to make twelve there as well. The same will apply to the U23's and the four new U23 teams will go into division one.

In fact at @Eduardo this was the option put by @Daniel that you were part of in the staff room Option 4 - All clubs get a pot of abs (I was thinking 10,000) to use on players primary and secondary rating so they can make 3 or 4 gems in the youth team, that if nurtured would become first team players. and you replied "Either option 2 or 4. Option 2 I guess. EAsier for both admin and managers" (option 2 by the way was the rating increase of 1) Further on I put "OK it seems to me that we all seem to favour options 2 & 4 between us." and you replied "All in for it"
