    Ok I have thought about this for a while and notice that nearly all have put any U23's that are 23 or below rated into youth teams and they are not getting a shot or chance in many senior teams. So I have pinched an idea from another site to give managers the option to play them in the seniors and make it perhaps worthwhile in the long run. Firstly it will not be mandatory it is entirely up to the manager how he develops his youth or even if he wants to. If any player who would qualify for U23's (so U23 and 23and under rated) is played in the senior team then the minutes they play in the season in the senior team you will get as ability points to give to that player across their abs. Just to put this in perspective, there are 22 league games this season which is 90mins x 22 a player plays them all which is 1980 mins so a possible 1980 abs available in the league, never mind cup games. The player though has to be in the senior team, if he is demoted to U23 then those minutes earned will not become abs as they are now a youth player. That is the choice you have if you want to demote, which is lose potential abs. However if you promote a player up to seniors then minutes earned above what they had when promoted will be turned to abs. So a player has 180 mins in youth and you promote and he goes on to play in seniors and has 880 mins at season end then they will have 700 abs. The moment they leave the seniors to join the youths they lose those potential abs. The choice then is yours where to play your upcoming or potential youth stars. Risk one or more in the senior team and get the bonus for doing it or not? This will come in from next season, Season 14.

    Right I have now started and added the 5k bonus awards and secondary bonuses for those on there. All are done upto Chelsea and all look ok on the rosters showing on site now. There are just 3 teams with no bonus stated yet and they are Watford, Arsenal and Man City also Man Utd have their secondaries to award. I will start on transfers as soon as I can.

    Sheffield United 2-0 DERBY COUNTY Another away defeat for The Rams and to be honest Sheffield United were probably the deserved winners. We had (a few minor) moments in the game and our fair share of possession but in truth United never really seemed in any danger. We also had (another) player sent off late on, which is becoming too much of a habit so I may need to reduce the team's aggression again for the next game. At this rate it'll be down to 1 soon.

    Watford vs Sheffield United We want to win all our games but realistically we have to focus on one competition this season and our main focus is to finish as high as we can in Division One. The cup is always a good opportunity for players to be rotated and to give other players a chance to show their worth, Osborn and Freeman both get an opportunity to showcase that today.     The FMFA Admin have discussed this and have decided that due to his success with Stoke City this year that they will appoint @Burrows as the new Chelsea manager. Stoke City will now look for a new manager.

Bournemouth can not make the play-offs but everyone else is still in the hunt.

    Changes to Members Shop for Season 14 1) It has been agreed that injury/suspension packs and fitness packs will be limited to two per season per team. That is 2 for senior team and two for U23 team. This is to make the game more realistic and also get managers to consider using their squads instead of waving a magic wand and clearing the problem with packs. The lottery will be be changed as well in season 14 and there will be fitness prizes but if won and chosen they will be an instant fix to fitness and not savable. 2)The price of the "Increase Secondary Rating by 1" will be increasing to F£2,000,000. However as secondaries are generally low in U23s we are raising the number a year to a maximum of 6 per season and a limit of 3 on any 1 player. It means that the price on secondaries on scouting will change also to be in line.. It was agreed the cost was really to low in comparison to other items and easy to afford and also if build-ups and match reports are done it is easy for managers to earn F£'s 3) The scouting will also change. The youngest player a senior scout can source will be 22 years old. Due to this the oldest a youth scout can source is 21 years old. This change is due to managers scouting 19 year old, 27 raters which if we continue this will have teams full of young superstars in a few seasons rather than an odd one. Also it is rare in real life to get such a high quality young player in a team.

    Rule 4) If after the two legs of the competition rounds the teams are level then away goals will apply and count double. If teams are still level after this then extra time will be played and then if required a penalty shoot-out.

    We have now added the members shop and the credit system. Due to the removal of the last one due to it's affecting the site running we realise that many managers had credits in place that they lost. Unfortunately we do not have a list of what anyone had so in fairness to all everyone has been given F$1,000,000 credits to start. We also realise that some may now have missed out on a scout purchase. To remedy this we have set the senior scout to F$zero for this season. That means all can use and get a free scout for this season only. The only exceptions are the three teams who have already used the scout, Liverpool, Sunderland and Spurs. Also Southampton have two due to receiving one for taking on the unmanaged club that was offered by Daniel. PLEASE REMEMBER - it is only the scout you get free, you still have to be able to afford the player you request. We hope this alleviates any distress over the loss of previous credits. You can earn credits as before through posting media articles in the media section and through posting build-ups and reports for games. There are also other times with predictions and last man standing etc to earn them as well. Enjoy the new shop.

Members Shop The members shop is pretty self explanatory. You earn credits, or FMFA Pounds (F£) for posting on the forum. You will receive F£ for posting build-ups, reactions, media posts and also now status updates. You can redeem these for items from the shop. More items will be added as we go along. The items are not currently for sale as we are working the fine details but you can see what you can buy already. Betting Shop You will be able to bet on straight outcomes, as you can see the FMFA Champions Cup is currently up, you can either bet on Liverpool winning or Sunderland winning. You can also request bets so if a match you want to bet on hasn't been chosen you can request it and it will be added. More about this will be added in due course.     Southampton announce three new signings. Southampton can today announce three new signings as they were successful in obtaining there target from the recent auction making the players coming in a total of three so far. The three signings can now be affisially announced as all the paperwork has now gone threw and they will soon be arriving at the club. The three signings are as follows. From QPR in the deal which involved Vergal going the other way come in experienced defender Stephen Calka and Young talented 21 year old Dan Darbyshire. Both are good players and are expected to be great players for the club. Stephen is an experienced defender and Dan is young and hungry. We're glad to do this deal as Vergal was clearly unhappy at the club and praise is given to the manager and is team for sorting the problem out. McNamara said the following about the deal when he spoke to Sky sports news earlier today. "I am happy with this deal, Stephen and Dan are both good players and Dan being young is what we wanted in our striking options. Stephen is an experienced defender at this level and is a solid center back. We're hoping that both players settle quickly as we're excited about the future that these two players have. Both hav signed 4 year deals at the club as we were keen to commit them to long term contracts. Both are expected to feature a lot for the team this season although Dan will probably find himself 4th choice as we have four very good and talented strikers here at the moment and we expect them all to get chance." The third signing is from the auction, Southampton are pleased to announce the signing of 21 year old striker Karlan Grant from Hiddisfield town for 60 million pounds. People will question the price tag I am sure but McNamara has proven that he knows what he's doing so far so it's suspected that people will give him a chance to prove the investmant is worth while. McNamara said the following. "Karlan is a good young player who has proven that he's a goal scorer he'll give our young strike force much needed compatition for places and we're looking forward to his arrival at our club. He'll need to bide his time although with his price tag and age if he shows promis early on in training he could start the season. It's going to be great compitition for places up front and we're hoping that all four will make my choices hard."

    In fact at @Eduardo this was the option put by @Daniel that you were part of in the staff room Option 4 - All clubs get a pot of abs (I was thinking 10,000) to use on players primary and secondary rating so they can make 3 or 4 gems in the youth team, that if nurtured would become first team players. and you replied "Either option 2 or 4. Option 2 I guess. EAsier for both admin and managers" (option 2 by the way was the rating increase of 1) Further on I put "OK it seems to me that we all seem to favour options 2 & 4 between us." and you replied "All in for it"

    Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Leicester City A great win for us to round off our maiden Premier League campaign and with this victory, we finish 3rd. At the start of the season if anyone had said you will finish 3rd bottom then we would have snapped your hand off so to finish 3rd top is a great achievement with the squad we have. Many think we have defintely over achieved this season and I would agree with that and next season will be even tougher however we will enjoy this moment but the hard work starts in earnest as we are already preparing for next season.

    Sunderland 0-0 Liverpool we had a lot more riding on the game than they did, and they have a cup final to look forward to, I don't think they would have expected us to attack and im surprised the game ended scoreless, but it is a valuable point against a top side that not many teams have managed to do. Well done Ed this season.

    The vote on youth leagues went in favour of keeping but it was clear from comments it needed overhauling/updating/changing. The Admin/Staff have been discussing it to decide the main changes. We will put all agreed changes in here so do check. The FMFA Admin/Staff have agreed that from next season the youth league will become an U23 league. We have also agreed that the max rating allowed is 23 so once a player reaches a 24 rating they will then go to the senior teams.

    The Youth Shop is the place to use your credits and finances to get items for the youth team. Items will are shown below and to purchase an item please start a separate thread in the shop for the item. Items. 1) YOUTH UNATTACHED Here you can by a basic youth player (either an 17 or 18 rater) for your team and enhance their secondaries if you wish. Firstly you select your basic player from the youth unattached list and that will cost you a basic fee of 17 RATED YOUTH - £3,000,000 18 RATED YOUTH - £5,000,000 You can the increase the secondaries of a player if you wish at £250,000 per increase of 1. This maybe done tho both the main secondary and the other secondary. The secondaries may only be increased to a maximum of 12. For example you select a basic 17 rated player such as Joe_Bloggs* 17 eng 1 3 17 5 22 300 300 300 300 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 100 That is a basic £3,000,000 for the player. If I now want him as an Attacking Midfielder and increase his shooting to 12 that is an increase of 7 and costs £1,750,000 (7 x £250,00). That then makes the player now cost £4,750,000. If I want him to have more all around skills I may also increase his tackling to say 10, again an increase of 7 and costs £1,750,000. The cost for each increase of 1 is £250,0000. For example if you increase from 5 to 12 that is 7 x £250,000 = £1,750,000. 6) YOUTH SCOUTING - $5,000,000 Credits You may request a youth scout once per season and the scout will be sent to search for the player you request. When the scout returns he will provide a player and then you can choose to buy or not. Please note if you do not buy you will still be charged the credits for the scout. Prices for players scouted are: Basic Scout is a 21year old player and is priced below and will have seconds of 0-5. GK 23/Outfield 19 Price = £10.00m GK 24/Outfield 20 Price = £15.00m GK 25/Outfield 21 Price = £20.00m Age 20-19 = add £3m for each year below 21. (e.g. 19 year old = + £6m) Secondary Skills 0-7 = Nil 5-12 = add £1m for each skill above 5. (e.g. 12 rated seconds = + £7m)

    Due to the increase in league numbers to twelve from season 14 it has been decided that the promotion and relegation will now change. The top two in Division One will get automatic promotion and then third, fourth, fifth and sixth will qualify for the play-offs for the final spot. Relegation will now see three teams relegated from the Premier Division.
