  1. Crystal Palace u23 v Bournemouth u23 We are at home to a side we came up with last season and both will be looking to make an impact in this division. As always, we will play a positive game of football, no sitting back and defending leads for us.
  2. Crystal Palace v Liverpool Games do not come much tougher than this against a very strong Liverpool side. On the back of a 3-0 reverse against Atlanta United in midweek, we couldn't have picked a tougher opponent to try bounce back. Having said that, we will go into the game no fearing our opponents but will respect them.

    Round 2 Leg 1 Results

Manchester United 0 - 1 Crystal Palace We take a slender lead to Selhurst Park for the 2nd leg and got an away goal to boot. Very pleased with the performance from the team considering we fielded a mainly 2nd string line-up due to fitness concerns to a number of first choice players before the game.
  5. Atlanta United v Crystal Palace Though the scoreline somewhat reflects something of a one-sided game, the truth is that was certainly not the case on this game. The difference was Atlanta United were clinical with their chances whereas we had an off day and paid the price. Regardless, it is not the start we were looking for and gives us alot of work to do for the remainder of the group games.
  6. Atlanta United v Crystal Palace This is a massive game for us, not because of the opposition, but for the competition that we are in. No one expected little old Crystal Palace to make it into the Anglo American Cup this season and we want to give a good account of ourselves in this one this season so have fielded a strong line-up for this game.
  7. Manchester United U23 v Crystal Palace U23 We face a tough Manchester United side in the 2nd round of the U23 Cup, as we look to continue our good start to the season at u23 level. We have rung the changes to this game to keep everyone fresh so it is a chance for some of the fringe players to show what they can do.
  8. Crystal Palace u23s 1 - 1 Everton u23s A good point but an overall disappointing performance from the lads as we struggled at times to string two passes together. We went behind and struggled to break them down however they were then reduced to 10 men for the remaining 25 minutes. We huffed and puffed and eventually got back on level terms with 15 minutes to go, Fundi getting the all important goal for us. Everton then got 10 men behind the ball and held on for a point as we could not get that elusive 2nd goal.
  9. Chelsea 1 - 1 Crystal Palace A hard earned point for us at the Bridge on Wednesday evening and we are satisfied to come away with something from the game. On paper, Chelsea have the better squad and have some top class players such as Hazard, Kante Gotze and Dybala but we more than held our own in the game. Both Mepham and Cutrone had solid debuts as did u23 graduate Tavares who came off the bench for the final 24 minutes. The injury to Wilfred Zaha is not too serious and he should be in contention for the Anglo American Cup game at the weekend.
  10. Crystal Palace v Everton We start our u23 Premier League campaign with a home game against a quality Everton side, so they do not come much tougher than this. We will be approaching this season however, as we did last in that we will look to play positive football regardless of the opposition and scoreline as results are not the priority for us, developing the players are.
  11. Chelsea v Crystal Palace First up is a London derby against newly promoted Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will be looking to hit the ground running, just as we looked to last season after being promoted to the Premier League. First days of the season are always a little bit a tale of the 'unexpected' but we will be looking for a positive result to get our season off on the right foot.
  12. Crystal Palace U23s 1 - 1 Wolverhampton U23s A score draw was enough to see us through to the next round of the competition, 3-1 on aggregate. Despite having more of possession, we struggled at times to breakdown a stubborn Wolves defence however we rarely looked in any trouble of losing the game so happy to progress to the next round.
  13. Friday 12th April 2019 20:00 Leicester v Newcastle 2-1 Saturday 13th April 2019 12:30 Tottenham v Huddersfield 3-0 15:00 Brighton v Bournemouth 1-2 15:00 Burnley v Cardiff 2-1 15:00 Fulham v Everton 1-3 15:00 Southampton v Wolves 2-2 17:30 Manchester Utd v West Ham 2-0 Sunday 14th April 2019 14:05 Crystal Pal v Manchester City 1-2 16:30 Liverpool v Chelsea 1-1 Monday 15th April 2019 20:00 Watford v Arsenal 2-0
  14. Big game for Palace tonight as they look to progress into the next round of the u23 Cup.
