Bournemouth_U23 - Wolverhampton_U23

We lost our first game of the season at the weekend, it had to come at some point but hopefully we can get back to winning ways in this home tie, but up against a Wolves team that has lead the pack until last week where they suffered their first league defeat so its going to be a great match up. We are fully fit ready for the match up and every player has the chance to start

Liverpool_U23 v Everton_U23

We have not got off to anything like a good campaign after taking the title last season and while I accept some players have left or been promoted we still expected to be competing in the league. We sit 6th or half way with 6 points and things don't get any easier as we now go away to rivals Liverpool who are 4th on 13 points. At least a win here would narrow the gap for us to them but it certainly won't be an easy game and they have a very good squad.
No injuries or suspensions but will still look to rotate and put a side to hopefully get something from this one.

Arsenal U23 vs Aston Villa U23

We take on the Gunners in both senior and youths and, whilst we expect a tough battle in the senior side we expect things to be slightly easier in this one. The Arsenal manager has openly said he is discounting youths this season and so we don't expect him to show up.

We are second whilst the opposition are bottom and their side lacks quality and is struggling for fitness. everything suggests this should be a good away win but we know things don't always work like that in football. We will still be picking a strong side and hoping to keep our positive start the season going and maintain with Bournemouth at the top.

We have qualified in the U23 league cup now and that gives us confidence. We have a full squad to choose from so everything should point to a win for us in this one. Still - we will be very careful and do all we can to avoid an upset

Bournemouth U23s vs Wolverhampton Wanderers U23
A massive game at the top of the table. We had our first defeat of the season in the league last time out and, despite bouncing back well in the cup, that is playing on our minds. They don't come much tougher than a trip to top of the table Bournemouth as well. The Cherries are unbeaten in the league campaign so far and have already beaten my Villa side this year,

After our loss to Derby we sit third on goal difference from Villa. A win would take us back above our opponents - and would do a huge favour for my Villa side - but, in all honesty, I will take a point from this one if we can get it. There may be some sitting back and parking the bus involved here.

We have no injury or suspension worries so it's just a case of going out and making sure we do what is necessary to not lose. If we can nick a win great - but that's not to be relied on
