Next Season - Suggestions

The admin team has a few things in place for next season to hopefully refresh the game a little but if you have any suggestions that you think may improve the game (nothing like removing managers just because they only sheet and don't do transfers with you..) then please comment them here or message myself, David, Will, Ed, Harry or, if you're brave, Holly

I think there should be a massive cull or players somehow. So many clubs sitting on squads of 30.
I think there should be more opportunities to improve your team through activity and from opportunities that don’t I Volvo trying to deal in a dead market. More incentive to be active and try to improve.
I think you should look at ratings of GKs and defs vs FWs - seems very hard to score at the moment. Maybe a general stat review all round
I love the youths but bridging the gap isn’t always possible so end up losing a lot of players. Appreciate this is the most difficult thing to do in esms

1 - is in the planning phase (seeing how we can cull some of the lower rated senior players)
2 - Such as? THis is a hard one
3 - Have looked at this, honestly the defensive and GK ratings are on a par with other sites, it seems to be more the FW's are lower rated than the rest of the squad.
4 - Not much can do about this, one or two from the U23's will make the senior squads which is similar to real life but can see if there is anything else that can be done to boost the U23 players.

1 - cool nice one
2 - yeah agreed it is. The difficulty I have is that it's almost impossible to do a deal and therefore improve a struggling side. Can't offer 2-4-1s as nobody needs them (1 will help with this) and nobody is looking to do transfers / improve. So i'll sign an auction player and a scout but then there's nothing can be done. Maybe an extra scout available if you do XXX or a mid season auction - something where being active will benefit a manager. Hard one agreed.
3 - yeah think it is the stats of FWs being lower that drives this. No issue with the stats in themselves - think you need FWs to be a little bit higher than defs and at least on a par with GKs to get more goals
4 - Always a tough one on ESMS - probably just a review of ratings allowed again - best you can get a youth to is 28r and i'm not sure if that cuts it or not any more. And you can only do 1 per year for that - a 27r is the other option and that certainly doesn't make the cut any more. I'm certainly not sayin "let me get all my youths to 29r" but maybe scope for 2 per season

Further update on these issues.
1 - Looking at removing all players in senior squad who are rated 24 or below regardless of whether they are eligible for the U23s. An announcement will be made shortly to give managers the opportunity to demote or sell any before the cull happens. There is also a disucsison about lowering the squad cap but thats still in discussion.
2 - Got a few ideas to look at.
3 - Testing in preseason - raising forward rating by 1 or 2 and looking at any effects, increase goals etc before making a decision.
