Chelsea 1 - 0 Newcastle United
Amazing performance here from the lads to get three points against Newcastle United. Mitrovic scored the only goal of the game to give us a massive three points, and hopefully we can continue to build on this.
The result still sees us in the bottom three, but we are now only two points from Aston Villa who are just above the drop zone. We're half way through the season, so a lot to still play for, and we need to put in more shifts like this if we want to survive the season!

A narrow but ever so much needed victory. Would have liked to be more comfortable but a win is a win and sticking with Ronaldo finally pays off. The superstar will be winding back a bit come the end of the season if the transfer business goes to plan so hopefully he can get the goals to keep us up before then.
The win moves us out of the relegation zone - at least temporarily - and hopefully it signals a resurgence and we can push up the table looking for a European spot rather than scrapping relegation. The title may be gone but we're only 9 points off the top 4 so a run of wins could move us in that direction definitely.
No breaks from now until the end of the season unless we get eliminated from the cups so fingers crossed we need every player to give us a positive finish.
