The competition first started in season 2 when there was only one division. It was then side lined until season 9 when it was restarted with two division and as u21S.
In Season 13 it changed to under 23 from the current U21 but remained two divisions. In Season 17 there was change to bring in greater competition through the season with teams still having something to play for in both promotion and relegation and the league split into Three Divisions.
