Sunderland vs. Tottenham Hotspur

A wonderful start to managing in FMFA. Didn't feel the need to complicate things in the first week - just send the boys out, keep things balanced, care for the ball, do the simple things well. I'm still getting to grips with the roster let alone the rules or the finances and I've been a touch unwell the last 24 hours so had to lean into the simple approach.

Doing the simple things nine times is wunderbar. The fans were ecstatic; there will be a few sickos out there who were disappointed it wasn't ten! Discopants would have been stoked to get on the end of some of that supply.

Have to caution the fans though, this result doesn't tell us much about ourselves or about Tottenham either. We need to respect our opponents and not get carried away; Chelsea are next up and they'll be a stern test. Other than the goal difference column it's still just a round 1 win or loss.

Buckers and I seem to have a weird way of being connected between teams or clubs across the ESMS world, looking forward to crossing swords with him. Absolute veteran vs. new breed areas.

Ha'way the lads!

DRESSERS DELIVERS AS FULHAM EDGE FOXES

Fulham snatched all three points in a tight match at Craven Cottage, veteran striker Dressers the hero after scoring the game’s only goal.

The striker worked tirelessly up front, firing off three shots before finally breaking Leicester’s resistance late on. Behind him, Iwobi and De-Silva ran the show in midfield, while keeper David Raya was unbeatable, pulling off five saves to frustrate the visitors.

Leicester had their chances – Sherriff and Ferguson both tested Raya – but couldn’t find a way through. Leicester keepper Randriamamy kept them in it with five stops of his own, though one slip proved costly.

A bruising battle, but Fulham’s grit and Dressers’ clinical edge were the difference.

MOM : C. Dressers – relentless, decisive, and the match-winner.

Sky Blues 1 - 2 Eagles

When you look at the rosters, the new teams introduced if far better than this Palace outfit and was favorites going into the game. But we played a great game away from home where Savinho and Danga Ouattara scored one each inside the first fifteen minutes of the game to win us the game. Ouattara is a massive improvement for us and we expect him to bring us in the top half of the table come end of the season.

Coventry City 1 - 2 Crystal Palace

Standard Coventry at the moment. Keep creating chances, but fail to convert and it cost us today. Not the start we hoped for, and if it doesn't turn around, then need to question whether I can still have success seeing as we have a very good side and still can't get a tune out of them.

Beaten at home despite home advantage, tactical advantage and better roster... just can't do much more than that!

Well played Ed!
