Re: D1 Round 4 Reaction
Wolves 1-2 Brighton.
Given the way the match went this was probably a fair result, if we'd managed to hold on and get the win it would have been a lucky result as Brighton dominated the game. I am however proud of my players for standing strong for as long as they did. We wer in the game throughout and despite Brighton creating a lot of chances Max Weiss especially started to show his ability as a goalkeeper. He was up against a top striker in Marmooch however was determined not to let him beat him. It was unfortunate to let in that second goal write at the end however their are a lot of positives to take from the match and we just have to continue believing in ourselves as Brighton are one of the teams expected to be in the top five or six.

Re: D1 Round 4 Reaction
West Ham United 2–3 Brentford
Wharton inspires Bees to thrilling away win at the London Stadium
Brentford edged a pulsating 3–2 victory over West Ham United in a rain-soaked clash at the London Stadium, with midfielder Adam Wharton producing a masterful performance to earn the visitors all three points.
West Ham twice came from behind but were ultimately undone by Wharton’s drive and Brentford’s composure in attack.
The visitors started brightly, with Ben Johnson giving them the lead on 28 minutes, reacting quickest after his initial header had rebounded off the bar to slot home from close range. The goal had been coming, following early efforts from Wharton and Kulusevski that tested Alex Meret in the West Ham goal.
The Hammers hit back swiftly through Mo Kudus, who levelled on 32 minutes with a thunderous strike after drifting past two defenders. The Ghanaian’s equaliser gave Mike McLeod’s side momentum heading into the break, but Brentford remained a constant threat on the counter.
Early in the second half, the Bees regained the advantage when Guiu bundled home from a corner after sustained pressure. However, parity was restored again on the hour mark when Zirkzee curled a superb finish past Christensen after a clever free-kick routine from Daniel Kemp.
Just a minute later, Wharton capped his man-of-the-match display with what proved the winner — a powerful, bobbling effort from distance that deceived Meret and nestled in the corner.
West Ham pressed for another equaliser, with Zirkzee and Gusto both going close, while substitute Mothiba added energy late on. Brentford, however, stood firm, with Garcia and Kerkez commanding at the back and Christensen making key saves.
A dramatic finale saw substitute Törrem Moffi rattle the crossbar in stoppage time — the ball appearing to bounce on the line — but referee waved play on, denying Brentford a fourth goal.
