A disappointing draw for us in which we enjoyed 70% of the ball and 14 shots on target but couldn't convert more than one of them. This is despite us being the side that looked to absorb and transition through them once we won the ball, I think their extra man in midfield made it hard to do as we would like and probably a bit of a lesson in proactive vs. reactive football.
Their keeper has earnt them a point here whilst we can safely say we dropped two, given Fulham were held at home by a completely becalmed Tottenham. So that means we didn't have the worse of the failures to get up this round.
Covering for Will here. A scrappy and overall tame sort of match where they tackled heaps and tried to exploit a team pushing up. Unfortunately for them we sat back a bit too and Coventry weren't able to offer much space either. The Coventry keeper probably was our best player today, because he did have some involvements and usually the winner in games like this is whoever makes the mistake first. if no one does this is the sort of scoreline we get.
very happy to start my man utd career with a good win and a clean sheet we had to wait until the 2nd half with goals coming from torres and sosa but we got there in the end my aim is to try and get utd promoted
