I was a bit upset to lose this one, we competed well however Brentford took one more chance than us and in the end it was what mattered. Ben Stevens did very well for the 20 minutes he got and I'm hoping when he goes on the training camp to improve further he'll be more of an asset to the 1st team. He did some good things though for 20 minutes and that's all you can ask of a player. Although we lost the boys were well in the game and I can't fault the effort and ccommitment. We need to now concentrate on the next game coming up and accept that not every game can be won.
FMFA Premier Division Match Report – Everton vs. West Ham United (Nov 12)
Everton edged a narrow 1–0 victory over West Ham United at Goodison Park. Liam Delap scored the only goal in the 26th minute, finishing neatly after a clever pass from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Despite West Ham controlling 58% of possession and creating more chances, they failed to convert, with Gregor Kobel producing key saves. Everton were reduced to ten men after Florian Wirtz was sent off in the 66th minute but held firm through disciplined defending. Delap was named Man of the Match for his decisive strike, while E_Robsie impressed for the visitors.
This game is a typical game for ESMS. The home side having tactical advantage and having control of the game but the visitors came away with all three points. Joao Pedro gave us an early lead before Hugo Ekitike was unlucky to score an own goal. Ten minutes later Jovan Nisic was fouled by Ivor Pandur and the visitors got themselves a penalty. Aleksander Isak made no mistake and turned the game around for The Gunners. We never managed to get back in the game and ended up losing for the second time this season. After ten games played the table is as close as it can be. Four points seperates the top 8 teams in the league.
