Queens Park Rangers U23 claimed a hard-earned 2–1 victory over West Ham United U23 in an entertaining YDL Division Two encounter. West Ham started brightly and took a seventh-minute lead when Halim headed home from a corner. QPR responded almost immediately, Rory Vaughan chipping superbly over the advancing goalkeeper to level the scores. The hosts then edged ahead midway through the first half as Adam Dougui raced clear and finished calmly. West Ham dominated possession and peppered the QPR goal with chances, striking the woodwork repeatedly, but goalkeeper Leo Jones and some desperate defending ensured QPR held on for a memorable win.

Leeds United U23 0 - 1 Sunderland U23

All the shots and all the passes and all of the ball but 0-0 for so long. I could feel their goal against the run of play coming on but FINALLY Moore was able to get the breakthrough to jam home a winner. Their keeper Lewis was the obvious man of the match, they awarded it to Moore for scoring but any other keeper any other day and we run up a cricket score (the big Aussie kind, not the sad English Bazball kind). The tradeoff is that Burke came off injured - I'm a little confused as we were allowed to replace the player as a 5th substitution, concussion protocols? Anyway it amusingly meant our backup goalkeeper came on at defensive midfielder and bless him he tried his best!

Speaking of Aussie cricket scores, Moore now has a century of shots registered in just 23 games, so that's like 5 a game. He's a goal in every 3 games at the moment, I'd like a little more but we're otherwise so tidy everywhere else I'll try not to complain too much. Only thing I would say is that I wouldn't mind bringing in an extra defender, there's a possibility we'll have that happening over the Christmas break. Just to expand the squad and the competition for places is the main thing.

Two points clear at the top after this result, I'm pleased!
