Wolverhampton Wanderers U23 vs Sunderland U23

Burke won't get up for this game, he's looking at like 3 to 4 weeks out at the moment. Means that we will have room for one of Matadeen, Whittaker or Reid to come in instead. All blokes you can trust. About the fixture, well it's a tough one and both sides will probably be pretty cagey trying to progress to the semi finals. Obviously being at home and the division one side favours Wolverhampton more than us, but we have probably the best defending youth side in the league so eager to see how that will play out.

I won't make any final decisions on the starting eleven until the night before - could play Lavery in more of a back 5, or bring in Matadeen, or put Whittaker up at the 10, can go a lot of different ways to try to get a result. Would be a big achievement getting through to the semi finals and of course we'll look to go as far in the comp as we can.

Wolverhampton Wanderers U23 vs Sunderland U23

So we're in the quarter finals of the cup, Sunderland are a very good team and this won't be an easy game. anyone who reaches the quarter final of a cup are a worth while team to be up against so we'll need to be at our best. The players have shown fantastic commitment so far and I could not be prouder of them. It would be great if we could win something in our first season.
