Buxton 3 - 2 Hartlepool United

Bloody hell when we went 2-0 down I was considering which part of the globe I could retire to and call it a day well away from football. Preferably somewhere sunny and with a beach I can sit by and contemplate that woeful defending.

We shook things up in response to going so far down and possessioned our way back into the game, 2-2 making me feel a little better about continuing in football - a man's gotta eat.

So yeah, bloody hell indeed when T_Sodje managed to grab the winner for them at home. At least we had the ball quite a bit and looked better switching things up, unlike last season where we'd have just gone on to get smashed or have a player sent off.

C_Caton had a quiet debut for us but we can expect to see him more in coming weeks as we try to get our game plan right.

Dagenham and Redbridge 3 - 0 Uxbridge

Dagenham and Redbridge secured a convincing 3-0 win over Uxbridge at Victoria Road, with R. Khaleel the standout performer. The Daggers grew into the game after early Uxbridge pressure, taking the lead on 40 minutes through Khaleel’s composed finish. He doubled the advantage just after the break with a deflected free kick. Striker Wilson then sealed the result with his effort bouncing in off the post. Uxbridge enjoyed more possession but lacked cutting edge, spurning several chances. Dagenham’s defence held firm, while Nightingale made key saves to preserve a comfortable and well-earned clean sheet victory.
