Newcastle United 1 - 0 Coventry City

I really am losing interest in this Coventry side. I wanted to keep the most part of it together so that I'd be invested in the player names and keep a realistic squad, but we're really not getting anywhere. We gave a very good Newcastle squad a game, but at some point I need to figure out how to improve performances else we'll be stuck in Division One forever.

GG Harry, thought it was a decent battle but the extra quality you guys have saw you over the line. Well played.

West Ham United 2 - 0 West Bromwich Albion
"Mount shines"

West Ham United secured a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the London Stadium. The Hammers struck early as Mason Mount capitalised on a defensive slip to finish neatly in the 6th minute. West Ham doubled their lead before the break when Mo Kudus calmly converted from the penalty spot after a foul on Zirkzee.

Despite a few promising moments from West Brom, including efforts from Gilbert and Mundle, they lacked cutting edge. West Ham controlled the tempo in the second half, making smart substitutions and tightening defensively. Mount’s influence earned him Man of the Match in a professional home performance.
