Eagles v Blades

We're facing the group leaders after they've won the two opening games of the group stages. This could easily be make it or break it. They find themselves three points above us in the table and we can't afford to lose. A loss will put us six points behind them and with only three games left of the group stages we won't catch them if we are to lose. We've performed better the last couple of weeks and hopefully we're able to continue winning football games. I feel the visitors got the better roster and we're some way off them but we know we're playing at home and will try to take the game to them. A tough game and it makes it even harder when we know we have to win.

Crystal Palace v Sheffield Utd

Third game in the League Cup group stage and we are performing better in this than the league where we can't buy a win. In the cup though it has clicked for some reason and we have two wins from two. That though doesn't mean a lot as the teams behind us can easily catch up with 4 games to play and two of the teams are just three points behind including our opponents in this game. While we want the win we clearly don't want to lose so we keep our distance from them in the cup for now.
In Palace we face a team that is doing far better than us in the league having not lost yet and they have @Eduardo in charge which I know from years of playing him is not going to be a walk in the park. Looking at the teams I don't think there is a great deal between them in quality on the pitch so we need to clever and not concede if we can.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Queens Park Rangers

After a disappointing defeat to start this campaign we came back well with a good win over Palace. Something feels off with the fixture list here as this will be our third home match in a row in this one but it's too late to question that now and we will play the fixtures as listed I assume. What it means is that we will finish the group stage with three away matches so getting something from here is even more crucial

We played QPR in the opening game of the season and came away 2-0 winners so hopefully we can have a repeat performance of that one. We're currently second in the group but I feel it could be crucial that we go into the three away matches on at least six points or it'll be an uphill battle

Having said that, this is our lowest priority this season so not a disaster if we go out. It'll cost us in game time for our players but also help to rotate for fitness purposes if we do. We will never try to lose but maybe that we don't go as strong as we will in others. Certainly if we lose this one we will have to have a reassessment of priorities for the remaining games
