Manchester United 1-2 Aston Villa

A big away win at Old Trafford sees us complete the double over United. After they did the same to us last year this is a welcome revenge. Matteus Cunha grabbed the opener after just 12 minutes as his frightening form continues - 19 goals in 22 games now makes the £94m fee look an absolute bargain! United equalised just 10 mins later but we were the better side throughout and it was well deserved when Bruno Guimaraes scored what turned out to be the winner with his 5th goal for the club just 15 minutes from the end. In truth anything less than a win would have been an unjust scoreline!

So the double completed over the side that pushed us all the way for the title last season is a pleasing outcome and keeps up our momentum at the top with eight games to play. With the top six all winning this was a very important result for us and it gives us two points grace at the top. But with only five points separating the top five it is very much all to play for still - especially as we still have all the rest of the top five to play. Having said that, 5 of the remaining eight games at home could be the advantage we need. All we can do is try to keep on winning...
