Boston United v Leamington

Sheet sent for Leamington's first competitive game on FMFA. Not expecting anything from this match at all, Boston have their fans behind them and we'd expect that to be the difference. The spirit of the FMFA Cup is all about the lower league storylines, and this is a chance for our players to write one of their own!

Good luck Daniel!

Scunthorpe United vs Bromsgrove Sporting
We venture into the unknown with the lower league side. We're not used to having sides like this so will be really interesting to see how ratings impact certain tactics and styles of play.

Probably not the best known club in the football world so some background before we kick off with them...

Bromsgrove is a town in North Worcestershire sat between Birmingham and Worcester. Bromsgrove Sporting were setup in 2009 by a consortium of supporters after the financial difficulties and eventual collapse of Bromsgrove Rovers. It remains a fan run club to this day with the supporters owning a stake and no one person allowed to own more than 10%.

The club play out of the Victoria Ground which is a stone's throw from the main Bromsgrove high street - although a good half hour walk from the railway station. It is well served by The Crabmill, The Hop Pole and The Queen's Head pubs that are all in easy walking distance whilst there is a Greggs, a Papa Johns, a Dominoes and a chippy very close by as well as a Lidl - all enhancing the matchday experience for visiting fans.

And now they find themselves on FMFA!

We have shaped the squad as best we can during the off season but haven't been able to go as hard on the secondaries as we would have liked. At 18 years old, Bo Morris will be the star man at the back where he will be backed up by Luke Softley and new signing Wood - although the latter won't join in time for this game. Billy Shaw and Nick Clayton-Phillips will be the all rounders in midfield whilst DM Jack newell is in to support the defence and hopefully Romehl Critchlow can add some goals from midfield. Up front we did manage to get some secondaries with Kobe Hall the star of the team. He will play alongside either Kieran Cook or Portuguese youngster Gustavo Macedo-Sanches who brings some international flair to North Worcestershire

In terms of the game, this is very much a learning curve and it's a tough start away to Jamma. We have no idea how anyone is going to setup so it's just about making sure we get a formation that will be tough to beat. I would love to be in the first round proper but that is a tall order. The squad are raring to go however and we are looking forward to what could prove to be an interesting experiment.

Daggers Sharpen Blades for Morecambe Clash

Dagenham & Redbridge are ready for a battle at Victoria Road as they face off against Morecambe — and it’s set to be a test for both sides in this Preliminary Round of the FMFA Cup.

At the back, keeper Sam Howes is the safe pair of hands, while youngsters like B_Nightingale and H_Broad bring energy alongside the no-nonsense tackling of K_Harrack and S_Graham.
Midfield muscle meets flair: veterans Dieng and Hemmings add steel, but the creative spark could come from R_Khaleel and J_Haigh, who’ll be tasked with unlocking the Shrimps’ defence.
Up top, all eyes will be on veteran target man Andy Carroll (36). The big man’s aerial threat remains a nightmare for defenders, and with the pace and sharp finishing of D_Stephenson and D_Wilson around him, Dagenham carry a genuine goal threat.
