DERBY COUNTY 1-0 QUEENS PARK RANGERS
This really was a one sided game and QPR can think themselves lucky to only have lost by a single goal. We restricted the visitors to just 4 attempts at goal which our keeper Ramsdale dealt with without any issue.
We dominated large spells of the match and finally found the breakthrough in the second half when Pérez finished off clever build-up play with a swerving shot that finally beat A-Hammond. We played with a high-tempo which produced an entertaining fixture, especially for the home fans, with plenty of chances created. QPR struggled to match Derby’s attacking flair, with their goalkeeper keeping them in the game for long stretches and making a total of 13 saves.
After the full time whistle we were pleased with the win but disappointed that we couldn't score more goals that our display deserved.
Like the youths though the seniors make it (unexpectedly) to a cup final.
