Hartlepool United 0 - 1 Dagenham and Redbridge

Ahh, bloody hell. I had a feeling Mike would send his lads out the way they were set up and I thought we'd swamp them in midfield and eventually noodle one or two through that deep back five. But we weren't very good at doing that and inevitably the reactive side will always have a moment or two, and that's all they needed to complete the smash and grab. With Leamington winning strong against Buxton and our unbeaten run ending we're now off the top of the table which is frustrating for the manner in which we have given it up not so much that our rivals or opposition won.

Happy with Daly's efforts shielding our back three and transitioning the ball forward at least, but put that in a context of the side that was reactive having more key passes than us and more shots on target. That can help the fan at time understand why I'm frustrated about this loss - we were bad and beat ourselves in a sense.

Leamington 3 - 0 Buxton

The last of Will's sides I'm covering for this week, and they get an emphatic 3-0 win at home. The Brakes go top after my Hartlepool stumbled at home, and it's deserved given the manner in which they brushed Buxton aside. Most of the ball and all of the chances, Farmer gets a brace and keeps knocking them in for fun, Tiago Coser having an action all areas sort of game and getting man of the match. I think Will will be pretty pleased with how the Brakes have gone whilst he's on holiday and now the league is set up for a great tussle between the two of us for the title despite it still being relatively early doors in the season.

Solihull 4-1 Morecambe

I am really proud of the lads in this one, finally the great football we've been playing over the last few weeks was rewarded with some goals. We've done what we did today in most matches we've played however the finishing has not been added however today we were clinical and to be honest it could have been more. If we continue in this way I don't think it will be long before we really kill a team off. The midfield were especially good today, they pretty much controled the game which really helped us aas we had a lot of the ball. Morcambe provided a threat however we were able to withstand it very well and although we were not able to keep a clean sheet we still performed very well all over the pitch. I am hoping now this can be the start of us moving forward and climbing the table as this young squad deserves it for the effort they put in we just need our strikers to become more confident in front of goal however Callumn is finally starting to find his shooting boots.
