Villa U23 - Sunderland U23

0-0 after the first leg at our place. Tough opponent to need to go and get a result at. Situation doesn't favour us, so we need to dig deep and play some classic dour grindy cup football. No one is injured or suspended, but we do look tired. Christmas pudding can do that to a bloke, it gets us all at this time of year. But the carbs should help us go long which is what I expect this match to do, they're not going to want to give anything up either. It will be 1-0 either or the lottery of penalties.

Bromsgrove - Hartlepool

Truth is I couldn't remember the first leg of this game and had to go look it up. Turns out we got there 4-1 and I'd hoped we'd turned the corner but in the next league match did the same game plan and got rolled over. Well, 4-1 is a luxury lead and we can go to Bromsgrove with a clear goal to kill off the game with our three goal lead. Without being arrogant I think we should get past, even a side as inconsistent as Hartlepool is.
