ha ha ha pathetic typical get to a cup final and get snotted my poor form i nthe world of esms continues this is why i am thinking of leaving i have no motivation and results like this doesnt help

Early one-two punch wins the day
Firstly, Neil don't take this so hard. You've got a great squad that is going to be in the Premier League next season. This could've gone either way and we managed to get two early goals and that set the tone for the game. Bowen got his 10th goal of the season in just the 2nd minute to get us in front, and Webster doubled our advantage in the fifth minute with a lovely header. United threw the kitchen sink at us and that played right into our hands and we didn't look like we'd lose the advantage we had. Bowen made it three just after half time before Mitoma rounded it off with an excellent piece of skill and finish.
Our system worked perfectly to nullify an excellent United roster, and that was a strong platform for us to build on and take the win. It's a second trophy for me personally this season after leading Leamington to the National League title, and we have one more big cup final to go against Everton - not a bad season all round!
Keep your head up Neil, keep improving your squad and you'll be in a strong position to compete next season in the top flight!

@stocko74 You inherited that squad which hadn't been managed for a short time so there was work to do.
To get to a final alone is a great piece of work and you should be proud of it.
I have had Everton for a long time and this season is first time in ages I have managed to get the senior team anywhere close to winning anything.
If I get stuffed by Brighton then so be it but it will still have been one of our best seasons and something to build on going forward and the same applies to Man Utd.
Don't ever lose heart because just when you think it is all crap and nothing works you hit it right and suddenly start winning. ESMS can be so fickle and random at times that you just have to remember it is only a game and fortunes can change to the good as quick as they went wrong.
