Coventry 2-2 Wolves.
So still un beaten after 2 games and all three of our main strikers have goals already which is very positive. Max Weice struggled a little in this game however Anthony Patterson when he came on did very well. I am really proud of the players and the way they've started the season so far. If we can keep this positivity up then I am sure we are going to have a decent season. I am really proud of the players so far and the way they are working hard for each other.

Eagles 1 - 0 Blues
A goal from Rodrigo Muniz at the early stages of the game was enough to win the game. The match stats was pretty even but we got the goal we needed to get a winning start to the group campaign. We defended really well and it's very pleasing to see us being able to get a clean sheet. Jens Cajuste was instrumental in midfield and his performance earned him the man of the match award.

COTTAGERS CRUSH RED DEVILS!
Fulham ripped Manchester United apart at Craven Cottage with a stunning 3–0 win to storm into the next round of the League Cup but with the opponents manger missing this didn't help!
C_Dressers fired the hosts ahead before the break, and second-half goals from Lukas Nmecha and Alex Iwobi sealed a famous victory.
United were second best all evening – four yellow cards told the story of their frustration – while Fulham bossed possession and racked up 24 shots.

West Ham United 7–0 Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham started with a stunning demolition of rivals Spurs at the London Stadium.
An early own goal from Aymeric Laporte (18’) set the tone, before Joshua Zirkzee (34’, 82’), Mason Mount (39’, 51’), Mohammed Kudus (69’) and Maxim De Cuyper (76’) all found the net. Tottenham’s misery deepened when John Stones was sent off just after half-time.
The Hammers dominated throughout, racking up 40 shots to Spurs’ 2 and 67% possession, with Zirkzee named Man of the Match after a superb all-round display.

Sunderland 2 - 0 West Bromwich Albion
We had to work constantly for this one to stay on top of the tie, but we were on top for most of it and Estevao justified his transfer fee with a key brace. Hinshelwood being sent off for them helped us a lot in a high intensity game. Brom still had their chances though, every side is going to have moments in any game and Mamardashvili was a safe pair of hands for us in those moments.
Aertssen came off early with a head knock after a footballing action with Chilwell; important in modern football that we look after head injuries conservatively so early indications is that he will be restricted from match duties and using his head for a few weeks at least. He's young, he wants to play of course, but he has his whole career ahead of him and we won't go rushing him back if it can hurt him long term which is what the evidence is saying now. And the club has depth, we can always bring someone up from the U23's if we need another defender in the mix, it will be good for their development!
