Southampton 1-4 Aston Villa
You never want to face a T but we thought it might be coming so went fairly attacking and it paid off. We had 2 in the first 15 minutes and it was 4-0 at half time. They got one back but we took the easy win.
More to the point it's our 3 straight league win and our 4th in 5 - interspersed with progression in the cup. When we lost to Liverpool in R10 we were in the relegation zone - 2 behind safety. We are now 2 places and 7 points clear. We've also scored 11 goals in the last 3 games - nearly doubling our total and making us the 2nd highest scorers in the league.
Like I said, we are now 7 clear of relegation and only 4 points off the top 4 - we can hopefully start to look up rather than down and see if we can get into the Anglo American mix.
