A very tight encounter in this match but we managed to secure a slender one nil win with defender Jordan breaking the deadlock but its a crutial 3 points as it keeps us a win ahead of 2nd place and 2 ahead of 3rd but wit the squads of Tottenham and Liverpool we are still in for a tough end to the season as we look to win the title.

Aston Villa 2-0 Burnley
A very pleasing win considering we were missing our best 2 midfielders - this forced us into a reshuffle and an untried formation but, in the end, we played well and were thoroughly deserving of the 3 points. Unbeaten in 6 in the league now - 5 wins and a draw whcih has completely turned our season around. After round 12 we were third bottom with 11 points - we're now 6th with 27. More importantly, we're within striking distance of the top 4 with 4 games left and 1 more win will guarantee we avoid relegation.
We get a much needed rest in the week which is the plus side of heading out of the cup and then we can have a real go at the last 4 games
