Liverpool 1-2 Flamengo

An unbelievable result against one of the best sides in the game. The stats say we should have lost and we feared the worst when we went 1-0 down so early on but we bounced back and equalised quickly and then benefitted from an unfortunate own goal. I have no apologies for then shutting up shop by switching to 5-1-2-2D around the 50 minute mark - you have to when winning away at such great opponents.

A really pleasing victory but we can't get complacent. We have 3 games to play and this will be irrelevant if we don't turn it into progression. We play the other side in the group home and away before we meet the reds again so the objective is to have secured progression by the time they come to Brazil. This puts us in a great place to do that.
