very happy with the result and performance of my team especally starek who scored both goals and we kept a clean sheet which was even better so not a bad start 4 points from 2 games lets see if i can keep picking up points

Re: Round 2 Results
Arsenal 0 - 0 Bournemouth
I mean the stats speak for themselves, we fully deserved the win and id say a battering at that to, a very disappointing result here at home too.
We just couldn't put our changes away and for that we can only blame ourselves but Bournemouth didn't deserve to get anything out of this game so it is certainly 2 points dropped for us.

Re: Round 2 Results
Aston Villa 1-0 Queens Park Rangers
So the QPR manager showed up after all which went against what I was expecting so i'm very happy to have come away with the win. We went very attacking but it didn't produce the goals we were expecting which is a little concerning as we failed to break down their defence or even create chances. I think we were potentially overrun in the middle of the park so I may have to reconsider that moving forwards.
It was Ansu Fati who did get the only goal of the game with a nice finish chipping their GK on the half hour mark. That's 3 in 3 games for him as he has started the season in fine form. More concerning is the form of big money signing Anthony Gordon who hasn't really found his feet as yet and we're hoping to see a bit more from him in the coming weeks.
Fati's goal was from one of just 8 chances we created in the game and only 4 on target - to go with the one shot on target from the opposition - so not a spectacular one in front of our own fans for the first time this season. But three points are always valuable even at this early stage of the season. We're one of three teams with a 100% record so far and sit in third although, in a 34 game season, it is far to early to be looking at any league table. We're just pleased to have made a good start.
Overall we are happy with the balance of the squad although a better backup forward is being looked at following the sale of Sam Lammers. We're also looking to see if we can bring some of the graduating youth team through when we can so things are still being worked on. Hopefully we can deliver some updates to the fans on these in the very near future.
