With a good three points in the first round we now have to take on another strong team in Arsenal, they have built themselves a tasty looking squad with plenty of triple raters who will all pose a threat on our goal so we once again will be calling Dalmasso to be on top form to help secure some more early points of the season. We came through the midweek cup with any concerns so we have a full side to choose from and intend to go as strong as possible in this one so it should all come down to using the home advantage and getting the right tactics to pull the right result for the fans
very tough game away at utd lets try get at least a point i will have to rotate my team due to fitness issues and hopefully who ever i pick we can put on a good performance
Derby County got off to the perfect start when they overcame Everton 2-0 at home. They now travel to Anfield full of confidence while we know we have to perform much better after a losing start away to Bournemouth. Jarell Quansah and Philippe Coutinho returns from suspension but I'm unsure if I'll play them tonight after the bad performance they had against The Cherries. We simply can't afford to lose players through red card. I know we're only into the second game week but a win is needed. We need to build confidence and get some much needed self-belief back in the team.
Bad start in first game for us after the defeat away to Derby and we need to get back on track and win. We managed to get our first win in the Club World Cup in midweek and need to carry that forward here to the league performance, otherwise we could be in for a long and hard season.
Our opponents Man City got off to a good start in the league with a win and are clear a force as they beat the current Champions Villa in their game. Even though they were at home this is not a team we can take lightly and need to be fully prepared for this one. The team is all ok with no injuries, so it is now a question of any rotation we decide us for our squad and team for this one. City will have their defensive midfielder Ndidi out for this one.
We're away from home for the second successive league game to start the season as we travel to Stamford bridge to face Chelsea. This is the fixture that saw us lose heavily last season succumbing to a 3-0 defeat in round five that turned out to be our biggest loss of the season. But the Blues are under new management now and that means it's a completely different proposition.
Indeed it would have been a different proposition a couple of weeks ago but the new manager has decided to move on the top players to add depth. It's a very similar job to what i have done with Wolves so puts them in a better position to compete for a season but less of a threat in a one off game. Hopefully based on that we can take advantage and come away with something from this game but we have last year's experience to make sure we don't take too much for granted in this one
Chelsea rotated in the week using some of that big squad so they will have a full team of fit players to choose from and will field their best 11 without doubt. For us, we have to rotate again after our big club world cup win in the week but we're happy that we have the squad to do so. Willems, Maresic and Bentancur could be involved as they prepare to leave the club after the games this weekend.
A tough place to go but we got our first win of the season on Wednesday night and we're looking to really get going and into our stride off the back of that.
Having opened our league account with an unexpected win we now travel away to one of the strongest sides in the division.
Havertz is back from injury but our best forward is now out of action for 6 games which forces a change in formation.
We will give our opponents a bit of respect but will still do our upmost to grab the 3 points.
Saved penalties for a living and reffed for a bit.
