Everton 2 - 1 Palmeiras
Close game and fairly even. In fact when they bobbed in their goal on 18 mins to go one up, I feared the worst. Fortunately we got our act together in front of goal and we managed to get two goals to nick this one.
Happy with win to start but will need to be wary as this competition is not going to be an easy stroll.

Re: ICT - Group Game 1 Results
Aston Villa 2-2 New York City
A disappointing dropped 2 points at home against an American side that went for it from the word go. On the plus side we showed character to come from a goal down twice to equalise and get the point.
In groups of 3, it's hard to know what will be needed to progress. I think 7 virtually guarantees progression whilst 5 or 6 may just do it. So a point isn't the end of the world but we must pick up wins in our next couple to give ourselves the best possible chance.
