A decent away win albeit against an unmanaged side. It took until the 87th minute for us to make the breakthrough but an away win at this stage is always a good return and we return to the home leg confident of progressing to the semi finals. Our decision to rest all the first team and take a beating by Liverpool in the final group game looks to have paid off.
Indeed, after the first legs, it looks like only Liverpool will be left from the English sides so, if we can get through this one, we have a real opportunity of going all the way in this one. Obviously the Reds will be the red (no pun intended) hot favourites but we've already beaten them once and so have shown we can do it. It'd be a great achievement to win this cup and one we will give our all to do.
