Three defeats in a row for our youth for the first time since the back end of season 18 and the frustration grows with these games. Yes we were countered and away from home so it's not as bad as some but once again we created so many chances we deserved something from the game. But once again their GK had a blinder and, despite being only 18 rated, we couldn't find a way past him. By my reckoning that's the 4th time it's happened to us already this season and i'm not quite sure what is happening. Maybe we have to be more conservative away from home.
On the plus side we still had good abs gains so the squad keeps on progressing. And it's early days in the group. But it's a group that features Everton who have already beaten us this season at home so we will need to take at least two points off them to progress in all likelihood. As the season goes on we will also risk players moving up with the rate they are developing but we keep working to keep the squad fresh and competitve
